For the past 10 years, I have worked almost every Saturday on my tree farm in southern Michigan. I have planted over 2,000 hardwood trees, cut down more trees than I can remember and built a little ‘get-a-way’ cabin. For me, it is one of the most beautiful places on earth. Growing trees is my pastime but it is not my passion. My passion is to pastor River Oaks Community Church and to grow fully devoted followers of Christ.

I have been at River Oaks from the beginning, almost 20 years ago, and have watched it grow from a Bible Study of 17 adults to over 1,200 attendees. Over the years one of the courses I have taught is an overview of the Old Testament. It has proven to be helpful to many who were confused with or intimidated by the Old Testament. I have developed this site based on that information to help you gain a better understanding of what the Old Testament is about. I hope it helps you in your pursuit of God through his Word.
